About 1-2 Tree Lawn and Landscape

Climbing & Cutting for 15 Years

1-2 Tree Lawn and Landscape is a full-service tree company serving Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Hudson, White Bear Lake and the surrounding communities. For the past 15 years our owner has been climbing and cutting trees across the area, and he is still on every job site. The person you talk to about your trees is the same person up in them.

Most of our work is residential. Whether it is an overgrown maple shading the house, a stump that has been in the way for years or a storm-damaged tree hanging over the roof, we plan each job carefully and get it done safely.

Stump grinding removes the stump below ground level without tearing up your yard to pull out the entire root system. The remaining roots break down naturally over time, and the area can be backfilled and replanted.

For most trees, late fall through winter, while they are dormant, is the best time to prune. Oaks in Minnesota should only be pruned during the dormant season to reduce the risk of oak wilt. Dead, broken or hazardous limbs can be removed at any time of year.

Cabling and bracing installs flexible cables or rigid rods in a tree to support weak branch unions, split trunks or heavy limbs. It can extend the life of a valuable tree and reduce the chance of limbs failing onto your home or yard.

Warning signs include large dead branches, cracks or splits in the trunk, a new or worsening lean, mushrooms or fungus at the base, hollow sections, and limbs hanging over the house. If you notice any of these, have the tree looked at before the next storm.

We are always glad to hear from hard-working people who want to work outdoors. Apply for a job by emailing your resume to [email protected].
